Please plan to join us on October 22nd, 2013, at the Science Building Auditorium on the campus of the University of Hawaii Maui College Campus for an important presentation. This “Anaerobic Discussion” will include presentations from Arun Sharma, President of Anaergia Services, Inc. the company chosen to implement a dramatic change in Maui’s recycling and other programs. Dr. Allen Hershkowitz, Senior Scientist with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) will also make a presentation. NRDC is a major environmental organization with a long history of leadership in addressing environmental issues around the globe. Finally, we will also invite Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa, or Kyle Ginoza, Director of the County of Maui Department of Environmental Management. The Mayor or Director Ginoza will be asked to discuss the County of Maui’s plans for implementation of Maui’s new direction under the terms of a 20 year contract.
